Mạo từ
Trong tiếng Anh, ta có 4 mạo từ là a, an, the và zero. A và an là mạo từ không xác định, dùng với danh từ đếm
được số ít.

Ater và before là giới từ chỉ thời gian. Đứng sau after/before sẽ là các cụm từ, mệnh đề chỉ thời gian hoặc mốc

Trong tiếng Anh, ta có các từ chỉ số lượng như all (tất cả), most (hầu hết), half (một nửa), some (một số), none
(không, chẳng). Động từ trong câu chia ở dạng số ít hay số nhiều sẽ phụ thuộc vào danh từ theo sau các từ trên
(đóng vai trò chủ ngữ trong câu). Các từ này được gọi là tính từ bất định hoặc đại từ bất định tùy theo vai trò
của từ đó trong câu.

Ta sẽ dùng some trong câu khẳng định và any trong câu phủ định, nghi vấn. Khi đó any có nghĩa "một số", "một

I don't have any books on the shelf. Tôi chẳng có quyển sách nào ở trên giá.
Do you have any books on the shelf? Bạn có quyển sách nào ở trên giá không?
"Any" ghép với các từ "one", "body", "thing", "where", "time" sẽ mang nghĩa là "bất kì". Khi đó danh từ có
"any" làm chủ ngữ sẽ đi với động từ chia ở dạng số ít.
