The American Marketing Association (2023) defines Digital Marketing as follows: "Digital marketing refers to any marketing methods conducted through electronic devices which utilize some form of a computer, including online marketing efforts conducted on the internet. In the process of conducting digital marketing, a business might leverage websites, search engines, blogs, social media, video, email, and similar channels to reach customers."

These definitions highlight that Digital Marketing involves the use of interactive technologies and electronic devices to connect consumers with sellers, utilizing various online channels and tactics such as websites, search engines, social media, emails, and more to promote products and engage with target audiences.
