This British Standard is the UK implementation of EN ISO 62055-31:2005. It is
identical to IEC 62055-31:2005, incorporating corrigendum July 2007.
The UK participation in its preparation was entrusted to Technical Committee
PEL/13, Electricity Meters.
A list of organizations represented on this committee can be obtained on
request to its secretary.
The publication does not purport to include all the necessary provisions of a
contract. Users are responsible for its correct application.
Compliance with a British Standard cannot confer immunity from
legal obligations.

The text of document 13/1344/FDIS, future edition 1 of IEC 62055-31, prepared by IEC TC 13,
Equipment for electrical energy measurement and load control, was submitted to the IEC-CENELEC
parallel vote and was approved by CENELEC as EN 62055-31 on 2005-11-01.
The following dates were fixed:
– latest date by which the EN has to be implemented
at national level by publication of an identical
national standard or by endorsement
