The mission assigned to the early church,
spelled out in Acts 1:8, was universal. The
performance of that mission in the years of
Acts retained the universal quality, because
the home base of the missionaries kept
moving. The advance reported by Luke in
Acts was generally from east to west:
Jerusalem to Antioch (Syria) to Ephesus to

Actually, Christianity spread in all directions
from Jerusalem after Christ’s ascension. Why
