Children and adolescents experience an array of oral lesions not associated
with signs of systemic disease that are typically further delineated by considering
the type of lesion (i.e., mass, vesicle, ulcer) and whether they are painful. Most of
these processes require little or no therapy, although rhabdomyosarcoma and
other malignancies are obvious exceptions to this observation.
