andpulmonarytrunk,anteriorandslightlyleftwardoftheaorta,arisingfromthe
leftventriclewitharudimentaryvalveofitsown,andgivingrisetotherightPA.
Inthiscase,noothercardiacanomaliesexisted.Thepatientdiedat4yearsof
ageofintractableheartfailure.Pelletierdescribedanalmostidenticalcasein
2009,inwhomasuccessfulrepairwasperformed.88Inboththesecasesthe
presenceofathirdarterialtrunkwasanisolatedanomaly,inthesettingofan
otherwisenormalheart.AmorerecentreportbyTingo87describedauniquecase
inwhichthreearterialtrunksaroseentirelyfromtherightventricle,resultingina
“triple-outletrightventricle”withaposteriormalalignmentVSDandatypeb
interruptionoftheaorticarch.Similartothetwopreviouslypublishedcases,the
intermediatetrunkgaveriseonlytotherightPA.Thepatientunderwent
reimplantationoftherightPAintothemainPA,aorticarchrepair,andbanding
ofthemainPAbutsuccumbedtoinfectionat6monthsofage.
